СОН СМЕШНОГО ЧЕЛОВЕКА Федор Достоевский "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man" by Fyodor Dostoevsky After I read it, I knew that I just had to draw something about it. And perhaps I will have to draw more. It gave me such a......ambigious, abstract feeling......something vaguely familiar. It is an absolute short- story masterpiece. After researching to find the Russian spelling, I came across an animation by Alexander Petrov dealing with the story. Whoever you are, if you love surrealism and good animation, YOU MUST SEE THIS Part 1: [link] Part 2: [link] Part 3: [link] Quite possibly the loveliest animation and adaption I have ever seen. Too bad it's in Russian without subtitles, but it's pretty easy to follow if you know the story. Here's a quick synopsis: [link] or you can read the whole thing if you want: [link] Materials Battat Watercolors Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils no references May 13, 2008 to May 20, 2008 about 15 hours |

Anyway... Really nice composition! I like the contrast between the cool blue and the warm maroon.

I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time.- Forrest Gump
